Sadhana of Mahamudra

By Chögyam Trungpa

Tibetan mind terma joining the Nyingma and Kagyü lineages, crazy wisdom with discipline and devotion, emotion with wisdom; this Sadhana sparks a dedication to wakefulness and an alternative to the rampant materialism of our age. When Trungpa, Rinpoche was about to escape invaded Tibet and go to the West one of his teachers gave him a text on spiritual materialism and told him he would need that here. This text represents both an understanding and a practice of how to deal with not only spiritual materialism but also the physical and psychological versions as well so to cause “the chariot of the new golden age to arrive quickly.”
