The oldest surviving book written in the Mongolian-language, known throughout the world and translated into more than 30 languages; the Secret History was written as an education for Genghis Khan’s descendants, to learn from mistakes, and as a way to preserve the Mongol empire. Author listed here as Genghis Khan because his words, thoughts, and influence; but only written down by an anonymous person after he died.
