Tao The Ching

By Lao Tzu
Trans: John Wu

This translation consistently stays in the middle ground and was a reliable mainstay when the other translations seemed obscure or unclear. With some notable exceptions, it didn’t have the illuminating, inspiring words; but also didn’t have the obvious misinterpretations too common in many of the other translations.
