Of the traditional Art of Worldly Wisdom translations, Joseph Jacobs still seems to rank highest. The Fisher and Maurer versions add some good symbolism and help update to a more modern language and idiom; but, in many instances seem to miss the heart-meaning that Jacobs more often captures. This version translates but also paraphrases and interprets hopefully making these snapshots of practical strategy more accessible to the more modern mind and culture.
